the nice people over at digitalmyass have written a feature on my new 12" on internasjonal

bar 25 tonight

tonight i am playing a special once off collaboration live set with my buddy aaron hedges at bar 25... we play from 04.00 until 06.00

we call it TECHNO.

so back from barcelona a few days and i must say sonar was a really amazing experience...

i played live on fridayafternon, at 13.15 and the place was just beginning to get a little busy... not perfect for house/techno but it was fine

then later in the afternoon one of the other artists, goldielocks, unfortunately had to cancel due to illness. my friends rory and i were asked to fill her spot and we dj'd back to back. it was an unbelievable buzz... basically what i've always wanted to do.. play at a packed tent at a festival!

the rest of the festival was spent having fun and hanging out with my red bull music academy homies... yes yes.

today i arrived in barcelona for the sonar festival. i play a live-set on the friday afternoon (13.15 - 14.00) in the sonardome/rbma stage at sonar by day. i love the buzz in barcelona around sonar! my only complaint is theres to much to do! tonight i go to a red bull music acadamy bbq then tomorrow the word and sound, watergate rooftop party, play my set on friday, then see where the rest of the weekend takes me!

from the bleedin irish times no less... so i am playing at oxegen this year for the first time, i am really looking forward to it! i think i am playing late on the saturday night...boom boom boom!

Mano Le Tough sent me this track already 2 years ago so I can testify that this track has been roadtested and indeed passed the test. A simple,dark and effective melodic techno track with quite an anthemic feel to it if I may say it myself… after a bit of fiddling around trying to come up with the right person to remix it Mano came up with Halve the sun which now graces the b-side even more gracefully than any remix money could buy. As you can probably guess I’m bored to death writing these infosheets…don’t let that fool you, this one’s a killer Honk honk, Thomas(Oslo, 12th of march 2009)

this coming saturday i play at the cellar in galway at my red bull music academy amigo rory's club night "deeper".

on support and also travelling all the way from berlin is my flatmate, bff, sidekick, moustached muse,  mark le tough.

buckfast will be involved.

life is best enjoyed in three dimensions

so last weekend was not a huge party weekend, only went out on saturday night to arena club but to be honest it was a washout. i was tired and we had an hilarious drinks party in my apartment before hand which wiped me out completely. i slept for an hour in arena and then went home!

mission accomplished!

what we did do this weekend was go to the movies, we saw "the wrestler" on friday which was outstanding and "valkyrie" on sunday which was pretty good. if only tom cruise wasn't in it and the "germans" all had uniform accents. it was ridiculous to hear the german soldiers speaking with alternatively english and american accents... they should have at least put on terrible german accents the same way american actors insist on putting on terrible irish accents...

anyway. it was a fun weekend.
